So, time moves fairly quickly in life and even more fast on vacation. I have been in New Zealand for about 2 and a half weeks and time just seems to fly by! I am just loving it here, all the adventures and sights to see. New Zealand has so many beautiful mountains in the south (Queenstown) and gorgeous beaches in the north (Auckland/Bay of Islands/Waiheke island)
Every moment is special, I have to breath each moment in. I find myself taking mental pictures of everything and finding my camera and my mind to be on overload.
Songs, smells, tastes..all of the senses are heightened in New Zealand.
I think I’ve cried about 100 times since I have been here… From joy of course! Yesterday my dreams came true when we went swimming with the dolphins! They were beautiful. We boated through HUGE waves and then found the dolphins in the middle of the ocean and jumped in with them! They jumped and swam all around us! It was so thrilling!!! Quite hard to swim in those waters, the current is wild!
A couple of days ago, we flew to the tip of the north island of New Zealand and saw the birds eye of the bay of islands and landed in the country side. We met a man that lives off the land and cooks all of his food from the farm… All animals have a use.
Then we drove over to Cape Regina! The very north tip of NZ! This place is very mysterious. This is where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean collide! The water makes a line and run into each other. A very magical sight!
The seagulls are quite loud here.
Now I am on my way back to Queenstown were we will go on a road and flight over Milford Sound. Super excited about that, cannot wait to see all of the beautiful glaciers and waterfalls.
I’m learning a great deal on the other side of the world, it truly is an amazing adventure to go explore on your own. Although I have been with family for the most part, I get to spend a lot of time on my own. It is truly mind blowing and I think it is safe to say that I have caught the travel bug!
